Chieko and Hayabusa are twin sisters. The older sister, Chieko, was abandoned at birth because her family was too poor to raise her, but was fortunately adopted by a silk wholesaler in Kyoto and raised as the only daughter of a favored family, becoming a lady of status.

CN: 这里真安静啊,已经是竹子的秋天了,土墙也摇摇欲坠、失去颜色,就像我这个人一样。

EN: A spirit double has no shape, no solid form. But then… that it has no form is what makes it scarry. A spriit double may be just a man's imagination… or even appear in different places.
CN: 幻影岂不是摸不着看不见的东西吗?所以无形的幻影才会如此可怕,它存在于男人的心头上或胸怀里,甚至是其他不同的形式。

EN: Drizzle… Sleet… Maybe it's wet sno. Snow… It's silent, eh. It's snow but not actually snow. It's very fine light snow. This must be happiness. Could this be it?
CN: 是阵雨?还是雨夹雪?或许是小雪?如此寂静,是雪,亦非寻常的雪,甚是柔密的那种细雪,幸福,不就是如此吗?幸福终会消逝,只剩孤独永远随侍身旁,不是吗?
